A Chewton Murder Mystery
The Somerset Assizes were held at Taunton and the trial commenced on Monday 14th March 1892. Surprisingly the jury decided that the evidence was not strong enough for a conviction and the case collapsed. A verdict of “not guilty” was recorded.
